The Tournament Fair Play System keeps tournaments competitive by making sure Tournament Points reflect real, contested play. "Uncontested wins" means hands in which everyone folded. It only affects Tournament Points coming from All-fold wins. It never touches your chips, pot winnings, hand results, or anything you've purchased, and your gameplay works exactly as before.
How It Works
The system looks at how much of your overall winning comes from uncontested hands (where everyone folds).
- Low dependency: If only a little of your winning comes from uncontested hands, the effect is small and you'll barely notice it.
- Moderate dependency: If almost all of your wins come from opponents folding, the points from your future uncontested wins scale down more noticeably.
- High dependency: If essentially all of your winning comes from uncontested hands, an uncontested win earns close to nothing, because at that point it no longer reflects real competition.
What Stays Unchanged
- Contested wins: This reduction only ever applies to uncontested wins. Any hand where your win is not due to everyone folding is completely unaffected, and you earn the same Tournament Points you always would have. Hands you actually play out to a finish are always worth full points no matter what.
- Pattern-based: The system looks at overall patterns over time rather than any single hand, so one uncontested win on its own won't change anything.
- Fairly applied: It is applied automatically and equally to every player, so no one is singled out.
The goal is simple: Normal, competitive poker is always fully rewarded, and players who rely on repeated uncontested wins to farm points see less and less benefit from doing so.
